Priest Holmes is an American football halfback for the Kansas
City Chiefs NFL team. Born on October7, 1973 in Fort Smith ,
Arkansas , Homes had his upbringing in San Antonio , Texas . He
stands 5'9” and weighs 213 lbs. Priest Homes did his schooling
from Marshall High School in San Antonio , Texas and led the
team to the Class 5A title game with 2,031 rushing yards and 26
total TDs as a senior. He missed the final four games due to a
deep thigh bruise. Homes also received the Offensive Player of
the Year honors from the San Antonio Light as he had a total of
4,080 rushing yards. After completing his graduation, Homes
played for the University of Texas at Austin . His team mate was
Heisman Trophy winner, Ricky Williams. In 1997 he joined the
Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. During the 1998
season while playing for the Ravens, Priest Homes rushed for
more than 1000 yards. He also led the team in winning the Super
Bowl XXXV in 2001. In 2002 season, Homes was signed by the
Kansas City Chiefs and playing his first season for the team, he
became the NFL's leading rusher with 1555 yards.

Though Homes
missed his two final games in the 2002 season due to a hip injury,
he rushed 1615 yards with 21 touchdowns. The following season, Homes
broke the NFL record of Marshall Faulk with 27 touchdowns in a
season. Priest Homes is a single father with two sons, De'Andre and
Jekovan. He has two residence places, one in Leawood , Kansas and
second in San Antonio , Texas .
In 1971 The
Chiefs made it back to the Playoffs
as they won the AFC West Title, but on December 25 of that year,
they lost a double overtime heartbreaker to the Miami Dolphins
27-24.
