Priest Homes was first signed by the Baltimore Ravens. He soon emerged as a talented pass catcher posting a record of 13 passes in a single game for the Ravens in 1998. Homes Played for the Baltimore Ravens from 1997 till he was signed by Kansas City Chiefs as an unrestricted free agent on 21 st April 2001. He was not a famous figure during the start of his first season with the Kansas , but by the end of the season he came up as one of the best free agent. He took over Okoye's previous single-season franchise record of 1,480 with his 1,555 ground yards. While playing for the Chiefs, Homes became the first undrafted player to win the NFL rushing title since San Francisco 's Joe “The Jet” Perry won it in 1954. Priest Homes soon became the most wanted player on the Chiefs roster since he shared the same reputation with his teammates in Baltimore . He was further elected as the Chiefs offensive captain. Homes had 14 carries for 45 yards (2.6 avg.) and one reception for four yards in the playoffs
